Welcome to the Norwich Classic Vehicle Club
7th May 2020
We welcome members from all over East Anglia organising and attending events throughout the year. Our aim is to ensure a friendly and family atmosphere.
Due to the COVID-19 coronavirus outbreak the decision has been taken to cancel our April and May club meetings. Take care and stay safe.
The bus trip originally scheduled for the 28th June has now been put back until the 20th September.
We have made the decision we didn't want to have to make in light of the current situation and restrictions and cancelled our annual show at Strumpshaw on May 31st.
Strumpshaw itself has closed the museum and has cancelled its Easter Egg Hunt and the Steam Gala which was the weekend before our show.
Large gatherings - even outdoors - are a no-no at present and we would expect to have around 2000 people at the show.
We feel it's a common sense decision as is the one taken by Tom and his team at Strumpshaw. We hope for your understanding and we promise you a good 'un next year!!
DRIVE-IT DAY POSTPONED
We've taken what we think is the responsible decision to postpone the Drive-it Day run. We hope we can re-arrange it for later in the year when this current situation eases somewhat. We don't think it's the right thing, even though a lot of the run will be spent in our own cars, the message coming from the Government now is just don't go out unless you have to.
Thanks for your understanding
Grant and Gary
The show listings page will be updated as we get news of shows being cancelled or postponed, but it's probably safe to assume that there won't be much happening until June at the earliest.
FREE TO A GOOD HOME:
Having recently joined the club and having a clear-out to make way for changes in the garden I was wondering if anyone has a use for a trailer I have – it’s a converted steel caravan chassis that I used to use with a kitcar but no longer have a use for. It needs some TLC but the frame is basically solid and tyres are good (including spare). It will need a new bed as its been sat outside and the plywood has suffered. It will only fit a relatively small car on it, bed size is 1550mm x 3240mm. I also have a small trailer we used to use for camping which I re-bodied 10 years ago, also available for free, suffered a bit from damp but would need a new wheel as one tyre has perished (as seen in the backgrounf of one of the pics).
If anyone wants them, they’re available to take away for free (pics below). I can be contacted on 07725 079 039 or firstname.lastname@example.org
